USCIS Updates the Filing Location for Form I-360 and I-485 for Self-Petitioning Abused Spouses, Children, and Parents

On February 08, 2023, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that starting February 10, 2023, self-petitioning abused spouses, children, and parents must file Form I-360, Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er), or Special Immigrant, and Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, at the Nebraska Service Center instead of the Vermont Service Center.

USCIS will allow a 30-day grace period for petitioners to file Form I-360 and Form I-485 at the Vermont Service Center. Items must be postmarked on or before March 12, 2023. After that date, USCIS will reject and return any application, secure identity documents, and other correspondence to the safe address, preferred address, or the address of the Attorney or Accredited Representative, if any, listed on an accompanying Form G-28.
