On July 27, 2023, USCIS announced that it has determined that to reach the FY2024 H-1B CAP, it will need to select additional registrations from previously submitted electronic registrations using a random selection process. In the coming days, USCIS will announce when it has completed the second selection process and has notified all prospective petitioners with selected registrations from this round of selection that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the applicable selected registration.
Those with selected registrations will have their myUSCIS accounts updated to include a selection notice, which includes details of when and where to file.
